Masha Abapolnikova & Yulia Kriskovets
Our first evening milonga at the McGuffey was DJ'ed by Yulia Kriskovets (DC). The evening was preceded by an afternoon of workshops with Masha Abapolnikova, founder of Fabrica Tango (NOVA).

Jael Montilla & Jesus Aranguren, DJ Ramu Pyreddy
Jael Montilla and Jesus Matias Aranguren are rising stars in the US tango scene. Shortly after coming to Charlottesville, they competed in at the USA Tango Championship (ATUSA) and won all categories (pista, milonga, vals, and stage tango). They taught several workshops for us and performed during an afternoon milonga with DJ Ramu Pyreddy (DC).

John Singletary is an instructor and DJ from Durham (NC). He gave workshops and DJ'ed in an afternoon milonga.

Rob Montango (MT) taught several workshops, including an introduction to DJ'ing class, before DJ'ing for us at an afternoon milonga.

Anna Leon and Cristian Bravo (Virginia Tango, Richmond) came to Charlottesville to teach and perform for us. After afternoon workshops at the McGuffey, we organized a taster class and an evening milonga at the Common House with DJ Elizabeth Brookes (Durham, NC)

Tango After Dark
Charlottesville tanguer@s attended the show "Tango After Dark" featured at the Paramount Theater. We took the opportunity to make Charlottesville Tango known to other attendees before the show!
